"buttonwood is far away from restaurant, pool, reception...its apartments on its own, close to the beach and a beach bar. probably good for people who want to rent an apartment with cooking facility ..."

"Lovely family running the Inn. Nicely appointed room though very small and no chair to sit in (in the room). My only big complaint was that the owners dogs barked forever (2hrs) one night and again the following night though for shorter time. I had to put on headphones to hear my tv show one drown out the barking. "

"The listing for this property was incorrect. What we thought we were getting was 3 queen beds with 2 bathrooms. Instead, we got 2 adjoining units that had 1 queen bed each, a pull-out sofa, & 3 bathrooms. Each unit had its own kitchen. When we arrived, the door between our rooms was locked so we had to go out to the porch & into the other unit to be with our friends. "The staff here were extremely friendly and so helpful. They helped us arrange everything that we needed at fair comparable prices. Sometimes figuring things out in Belize can be difficult. We would definitely stay here again."

"The house was perfect for our family of 7. We had amazing beach days at the gorgeous private beach across the road. A very short one minute walk. You basically have the ocean for a front yard and a beautiful lagoon dock in the backyard. The beds are good, the sheets and blankets are all a clean and uniform white. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils and dishes. "

"All of the staff here are friendly and helpful as could be. The AC in the room worked great (and was quite necessary with the heat) and the fan on the terrace was a nice feature as well. Some people don't like the noise from the Barefoot Bar next door, but with the AC on at night we could barely hear anything from there. Plus, we go to the Barefoot every night anyway so being within easy stumbling distance was nice. The facilities are in need of some repair. For instance, the water heater was...

"Like any first time visitors, we researched and questioned every detail about our trip to Belize. We finally happened upon and settled on booking with Ceiba. WHAT A BLESSING! "Hopkins Bay Resort is an exquisite property, one of the finest we have enjoyed in our travels. From check-in to departure, the staff elevated every experience. Rooms are beautiful, the setting breathtaking, the facilities and grounds wonderful, the dining a real pleasure. From our greeting by the ladies at the front desk and Cass at our welcome, to King and Amalda at the restaurant, everyone and everything about this resort makes us want to return again and again. "

Serene beach stay

"Awesome location on a pretty beach with surreal sunrises and moonrises. The location is quiet and restful. Our room was very practical with a small fridge, drinking water, and A/C.The shower was tiny with dismal water pressure. Breakfast was perfect for us. It consisted of some sweet bread, fresh fruit, hard boiled eggs and coffee with a tropical breeze and a wonderful view. We enjoyed the beach and took advantage of the free use of a kayak. The pool area was peaceful and lovely. The property manager, Valesca, epitomized great service. She went out of her way to make sure our needs were met and made us feel at home. We checked out this morning and I already miss it. "
