"We stayed 12 days at Beachside and already plan on returning. The unit was spotlessly clean, comfortable bed, fabulous deep porch! Units do vary in porch size so look at the photos. This one was deep and in the shade during the afternoon, perfect. A breeze blew everyday and we never once turned on the AC, the ceiling fans were all that was needed. "Edwin graciously collected us and drove us by pontoon boat to the other side every day twice a day for walking to shops, meals, and entertainment. The house was quiet, clean and air conditioned. Loved the thatch covered roof top and pool."

"We loved our stay at Beachside Villas in Placencia. These condos are right on the water, literally 10 yards from the surf line. The price was great and the staff was responsive. It’s a great location between Placencia town and Maya Beach, about halfway down the peninsula. Plenty of grocery stores and restaurants are near it. Comfortable and clean, it was a relaxing vacation. "

"The villa is roomy and beautifully decorated. The kitchen has everything you need, and there are plenty of towels. A very nice touch is the selection of dvds and books. Herbert is a wonderful host and is quick to answer any questions. A big shout out to Oliver, he was such a helpful staff member."

The local staff actually got us a coffee maker on day 2 (ours was missing on arrival, though our friends’ unit had theirs so it wasn’t a big deal). "Wonderfully located a close distance to the main town of Placencia. This property was super unique and tucked back far enough you felt like you were super secluded. The accommodations were great and the staff attended to any issue that arose. Make sure to take the hummingbird highway down if you drive from the city. Also, don't forget to stop for tamales at Mrs. Betha's at mile-marker 26 on your way down. A couple of quick notes, you are in a tropical location, so we did have some little ants...

"We truly enjoyed our stay at the Villas at Cocoplum. All of the staff was extremely helpful and had some great recommendations for us! It was great to be able to walk down the beach to the Naia restaurants. We also really loved having the kayaks and paddle boards available to use. "The townhouse was very nice. I guess we missed in the description that you could only go by pontoon to town as this is on an island. Also, make sure you tell your taxi driver to take Sunset Point Road - we don't know where the name Manatee came into place and our taxi wanted to take us to the Manatee Inn which is not the right place."

"The setting was beautiful. Our unit was spotlessly clean and had beautiful views. The employees were all very friendly and we had all of our needs met. My only complaint had nothing to do with the resort. The beaches are not clean. It was heartbreaking for me to walk each morning and see the amount of trash mostly plastic on all of the surrounding beaches. Maybe the resort could offer some type of incentive. A free drink in exchange for a bag of garbage. I would come back to this place but...

"First off, the owners and manager are awesome. They are very responsive, and communicate very well. The location was perfect for us, in the middle of Hopkins town. You are able to get the feel for day to day life of the residence. The people were fantastic. The place is nice and quaint, but we loved it. My wife and I both agree, the only thing it was lacking was a couch in the lounge. But honesty, we loved the place and our time in Belize. Nice work!!"
