"Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The kids loved the ping pong table and playground. We loved how private it felt and the Christmas decorations were a wonderful touch. We had some trouble getting in touch with the property manager related to a tripped circuit in two of the bedrooms but it didn't hamper our stay."

"We came to explore the island trails (hiking and snorkeling) and did much driving (1 to 2.5 hours each way a day) and hiking so our time at the rental was limited to sleeping and eating, showering, doing laundry (a fantastic outdoor sink to clean gear) and using the WiFi (great signal). The check-in process was extremely easy, though we did have to reach out to the host to confirm the process. We would have loved sheets on the bed in addition to the blankets. "Our family of six stayed overnight at this property when we traveled over from Mauna Lani to visit Volcano National Park. The house is even better than advertised and as well-equipped as many more expensive rentals (especially the kitchen) with super comfortable beds and pillows. As other reviewers have mentioned, the massage chair was great. Parking was a little tight (we had a large SUV) but manageable. Overall a fantastic stay."

"This property was perfect!! Close enough to everything while keeping us out of the busy tourist areas. The home was clean and cozy. Howard was away for the holiday. But, left us with contact info and a binder full of his island favorites. We particularly appreciated the instructions left by him that took us to the Puna trail, which led us to a private(ish) beach. There, we got to view the sea turtles soaking up the sun. We loved staying here, and plan on returning again in there future! Mahalo...

"Very peaceful, beautiful home.We saw at least 15 whales on Day one from the living-room windows and several more throughout the trip. Perfect whale-watching venue.Easy to get to the Volcano Natl Park from here as well."
