"Food was excellent. It’s a traditional ryokan. Onsen was good . Two separate baths for male and female and they switched in the morning. The toilet in the rooms a little old. Overall still an excellent stay. "

"The onsen Ryoken is a famous one in Japan as the Japanese Emperors had stayed at the estate for a few times. We stayed at a room with private onsen which is excellent. The food was also great and we had a great time."

"We had a western style junior suite for our stay in Izu. The room was incredibly spacious, and was partitioned between sleeping and lounge areas. Two bathrooms and comfortable beds. Our stay included dinner at the property, and it was delicious. Service staff were very attentive. Would recommend the property for a relaxing stay."

The food in particular dinner was very exceptional, they use high quality ingredients and are flexible to accommodate dietary requirements (with advanced notice of course). Onsen was a very short walk from our room, no need to worry when the outside is cold & wet.
