"Hotel rooms very basic, choice of food ok"

"Great location on the harbour. All the staff we met were very helpful and friendly. Room was comfortable and clean. Limited parking which is chargeable if not booking direct. 15 minute walk to town centre. We didn’t use the restaurant but looked nice with locally sourced goods. "

"Good value for money, clean and good location for town and theatre, although did feel a little unsafe at night walking back due to noisy groups and environment but perhaps that's an age thing ( mid sixties)."

"On arrival at 2.00 pm (check in time), we were told our room wouldn’t be ready until between 3.00 and 4.00 due to a football team staying the night before! They said we were welcome to use hotel facilities. Receptionist was polite and apologetic. We decided to have a walk into town and then check in later. Room was large with usual facilities. Bed was quite hard, so not that comfortable, if you prefer something softer. Great shower. Very good breakfast, plenty of choice of hot and cold items,...
