Welcome to the most amazing Views ever at Ocean East 1 on Chincoteague Island.

"Great location convenient to restaurants and Assateague. The view from the porch is beautiful and the deck furniture is really nice. The appliances are ok. The kitchen drawers and cabinets need to be thoroughly scrubbed and organized. Allot of the things in the drawers needs to be discarded. The Master bed is ok. The other beds are very uncomfortable and could benefit from quality mattress toppers. Sheets and towels were clean."

"We booked this at the very last minute so we could clean out our father’s home (he passed the week before). It was perfect for our needs. One caution…the grass has tiny little burrs that stick to socks and flip flops. Nothing to do about them but if you have a dog, check their paws. We were even able to add an additional night easily when the clean out took longer than we expected. I would recommend!"

"We enjoyed our stay at the Purple Door. The views were spectacular and we enjoyed sitting on the deck. My husband taught my daughter to fish and she loved the dock area. We did use the amenities at Captain’s Cove and drove out to Assateague Island to see the horses. The location is tucked away from major attractions but we got used to the drive after the first day. The neighbors were friendly. Enjoyed our stay !"

"Great place , I bit isolated but doable. Everyone very friendly, amenities setup is a bit of a pain in the ass . "

"We stay here often. The property is very convenient to the entrance to the Chincoteague Refuge. Many restaurants are close by too. The rooms are large and decorated nicely as well as extremely clean and well-maintained. Check-in is easy and staff is very pleasant. Breakfast is brought to your room and fresh coffee is near the registration office. "
