"We were responsible for all housekeeping for more than a week, but they were stingy with supplies to do our own housekeeping. I had to list what items I intended to clean (sink, toilet, light switches, etc) in order to access cleaning items. At one point, the hospitality worker directed us to Dollar General to go buy our own cleaning supplies. They didn’t even have spare sheets. We asked for clean linens and then we had to turn our sheets in so we could get them back hours later. We were there...

"The Salty Sailor was an excellent, affordable, and pet friendly rental. Nice location on ridge rd next to Mr Baldys which is a must to try if you stay here. The rooms are a bit older but maintained well. I didn’t experience any of the conditions that were listed in the other reviews here. We would certainly stay here again."

"We stayed here for several days during Pony Penning Week. The cottage is small, but cute, comfortable, and well appointed. We had a minor plumbing issue on day 2, and our host responded immediately and rectified the problem with no interruption to our plans. AC units in each room kept us cool, despite hot, muggy weather. "The home was clean and pet friendly which is very important to us! It is located across from the park and I enjoyed walking around it. We own a home on Chincoteague that won't be open until the end of March and wanted to come check out our property but of course couldn't stay there without water. This home suited our needs perfectly. The only issue we had was using the tv's. We are not tech savvy and had to have the realtor send someone to show us. User error! Thanks for a great place to stay!"
