"What a great stay!! We travelled with our two teenage boys and I wasn’t sure how the hostel would be for us but our quadruple room was amazing. Kids loved the bunk beds. The traditional onsen was fabulous and I used every day. Super close to train/ cable car and the breakfast was very helpful each morning. The review would not be complete without mentioning the amazing staff. They were all so helpful and patient. Went out of their way to help us with dinner recommendations and directions. So...

"Room is spacious, has A/C and a view of Mt Fuji. Staff were excellent, always polite and helpful. Breakfast was good, traditional Japanese style which may not suit everyone. Room is a bit tired in places, one of the windows was a struggle to open and close - but we didn't go there to spend time in the room. Bathroom is basic but functional. Shower took a bit of adjustment as the temperature tended to fluctuate. Location is great, right by the lake with a bus stop for the Red line right...

"Very close to Kawaguchiko station. Clean and tidy. Has a microwave, a mini fridge and a kettle with a few options for tea. There are two convenience stores about a 5 minute walk from the hotel and Lake Kawaguchiko is about a 15 minute walk. Staff aren’t present on the property outside of cleaning (I think) which worked okay. We checked in and out by a tablet at the entrance.
