"A family vacation of boating, fishing, swimming and watching the RNC convention. Interesting, for a large number of cottages on the lake we saw very few people. I imagine the reason was the hot weather and most people were probably at the lake July 4th weekend. Therefore, we had the whole place to ourselves and enjoyed a quiet time and beautiful sunsets. "Overall, we had a good stay at this property. The cleanliness of the property could have been better. The biggest issue we had was a stinch in the living room. Upon investigation, we found that the living room rug smelled like a wet dog. The smell was unbearable and the rug had to be removed from the room for the duration of our stay. "This cabin has plenty of space for a family vacation. Lots of outdoor space, plenty of space in kitchen for cooking, and a great location in Mentone. "

"This house was beautiful and exceded our expectations! We had 6 boys (10-16) and it was a perfect set-up for them as well. The ONLY negative was a few neighbors dogs wandering on the property a few times, which caused our dog to be a bit skidding. However, if given the opportunity, we would not hesitate to reserve this house again! "

"My husband and I rented the Lazy River Cottage to host Thanksgiving with our two kids, their spouses and our first grandson. We were there the whole week of Thanksgiving and the cottage was perfect. It’s basically a new house with three bedrooms all with en-suite bathrooms, a loft with two single beds and a large living room. "The location is gorgeous, the “cabin” easily accommodated our large party of 12 and was certainly well-stocked with everything a guest would need. We had a marvelous time! There are a few caveats, however. There is only one sleeping area on the main floor and the interior stairs proved a problem for the older generations in our group; they are steep and there is not a complete handrail going down to the bottom level.
