"We arrived 12/31 and departed 1/4. Our trip was centered around our son starting SLTC in Trenton and this was the perfect place. The home was immaculately clean and had every amenity that we needed given it is fully furnished with pots/pans/cookware. The rolling stream and spacious multi-level deck were quite relaxing with the morning coffee. The beds were comfortable, bathrooms/showers fully functioning. As we walked through the door, we were greeted by the TV set with crackling logs...

"This was a great location--lovely views of the lake and we could watch water fowl from the couch. The house is very well-maintained and an easy place to visit with family. The ONLY negative was a few neighbors dogs wandering on the property a few times, which caused our dog to be a bit skidding. "The cottage was a cozy stay during a chilly couple of days of rock climbing at nearby Sand Rock. The cottage was clean and warm, and the hosts were very kind and responsive. The cottage does not have internet, and spotty cell service, but I consider this to be a plus for a weekend away with the family! I would highly recommend it for families looking for an affordable trip to Northeast Alabama for a few days."
