"All the staff were very attentive and helpful - actually felt like they enjoyed working at the hotel. Within easy walking distance to the city centre. We parked at Morrisons using Justpark and it was a 5 min walk to the #hotel - easy!! will return and happy to recommend.."

"The location is great and it helped that we had a riverside view. It’s in a great location - you feel you’re in the heart of the city but not in a busy location. You do get the noise from the pubs and clubs on the other side of the river so take earplugs or keep the window closed (no aircon). The bathroom could use updating but that feels like a minor thing really as the room is clean and comfortable. Bed and pillows are really comfy. Staff are really welcoming and friendly."

"This is a great hotel clean and central but most of all lovely staff who are professional and efficient but also kind and friendly which makes for a relaxed atmosphere. It might be a bit dated in decor but it’s still smart and well looked after. I’ve been several times and would always stay here if in York "

"A modern hotel. Clean and well cared for. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was superb with an excellent range of hot and cold food on offer. 10 minutes walk along Piccadilly to the Town Centre with a full range of resturants and pubs. Its quite along walk from the Railway Station, so I would suggest either a taxi or public transport, particularly with cases."
