"Place is much bigger than it looks in the photos. Nicely set up outside of town. I almost gave the overall rating 4 stars because the beds were very soft. I prefer firm, but I’m also a very sensitive sleeper, so that may not be the case for others. It is as very clean and quiet. Host was an excellent communicator! "

"We loved our stay at this house. The house was very clean, and very close to Cal Poly Humboldt where we were visiting our daughter at college for family week. The property is comfortable, Sylvia and Sharon are friendly and helpful hosts, and we do so enjoy Ferndale's Victorian and agricultural ambiance. And of course, there are the books! "House was new and very clean. Basics in kitchen. Living area needs more comfortable furniture. Being both 70 yrs old, we cant sit in a bean bag or get out of it and the futon was very uncomfortable. Bedrooms were fine, but needed somewhere to place our luggage. Too close to the highway. Other than that it was a pleasant stay. "

"I wanted to take a bath so I got a couple of the Clorox wipes to wipe down the bath tub. The first swipe I did came up with debris and hair. It grossed me out, so I decided to take a shower. The water lapped at my ankles because there was so much hair clogging the drain!! Then I dropped something behind the nightstand and found tons of dust there. Looked clean, but was only clean in the middle. "
