"Lovely property but needs a little TLC. For instance curtain in lounge half hanging off, no lock for front bathroom door, loads of lightbulbs not working, video game not working holes in wall in bathroom and one of the bedrooms. Having said this the beds were comfortable, lots of space for 10 people and hot tub a great bonus. Nothing to spoil the holiday but just a few niggles."

"The railway carriage was a lovely place for my dog and I to call home while we visited friends in Newcastle. Great walks on the doorstep and Newcastle is deceptively easy to get to.We visited the Column to Liberty at Gibside today that we could see from our window. "Very comfortable and well equipped house. We were just two so more than enough space, but would have been plenty if there were six of us. The owner Geoff sent us a welcome email and assured us that we could contact him anytime if we were concerned about anything. There was no need! Location was beautiful, very remote hamlet but surrounded by amazing scenery. The lovely village of Allendale was just a 10 minute drive away, very good small supermarket and a couple of of good tea shops. We were...

"The lodge was perfect. Spotlessly clean and pretty and everything you could need. However what made our holiday absolutely perfect was the garden the lodge is set in. Stunningly beautiful, magical grounds that you could see from all sides of the lodge. With a folly perfect for an outdoor fire and BBQ. Central to all of the North East and Durham attractions. I have been twice now and can’t wait to go again. Magical!"
