"The property is clean, tidy and comfortable. The little communal kitchen area is a very good idea for making food or sitting in while eating a takeaway. There is plenty of tea and coffee in the room, and also a little fridge for storing milk, drinks, food etc. Have stayed before, hence why I returned again. It is convenient for many uses and close to the A1. There are local shops, takeaways and a petrol station all within walking distance. The only negative I had, was that it was too warm. So, I...

"An old farm house, located directly on a crossroads, with views over the countryside. The room was clean, pleasant, and comfortable. It was more a guest house than a B&B, with the main rooms, including the kitchen, available to everyone. Guests avail themselves of supplies and facilities to make their own breakfast. Host was friendly and welcoming."

I contacted the hotel through expedia and through their website twice in the week running up to my stay. The Guest House did not respond I arrived to find Hall Bank Guest House locked up and closed. I had to find emergency accomodation for the night. I suggest that potential holidaymakers think very carefully before risking booking Hall Bank Guest House"
