I had a two night weekday stay. It was easy to find and there was lots of free parking, some spaces even had electric car charging points. I arrived before the 3 pm check-in time so went to make enquiries at The Retreat spa and leisure centre. Claudia, who works there, was really polite, helpful and attentive and gave me advice and options on what to do before check-in. She was really patient whilst I dithered with my choices. She is a real asset. I had a back, shoulder and neck massage with Eve which was really helpful because the knots in my muscles kept popping like bubble wrap. I had the same treatment the next day with Charlotte and, again, the treatment was excellent. Both of them confirmed details before the treatment and told me what to expect, then at the end they gave me recommendations, which I would never have contemplated.
My room was a standard double and was really quiet, clean, spacious and well-equipped. I liked the large flat screen TV which was built-in and didn't dominate the room. The bed was so comfortable and I slept really well (the massages definitely helped). There were about nine electrical sockets, which were handy for charging devices. Also supplied was a hair-dryer, iron, ironing board, and trouser press. The bathroom was clean and well-equipped with everything you'd expect.
Two things I'd like;
1) The ability to preregister online.
2) A choice of herbal teas, not just green tea.
