"We had a great 5-week stay at Casa da Rocha. The 3BR setup worked well with 2 pre-teen kids and a dog. I particularly enjoyed this part of Sintra which is authentically Portuguese and a bit off the beaten path. We spent a lot of time chatting with locals at the small store/cafe down the road and ate at several great spots that Cristina recommended, all a short drive away. While not too far by car from the train station and more touristy parts of Sintra, the home isn't close enough to those...

"We booked this because I wanted to be near the sea = we were actually high up on a rocky promontory but that was fine, view was great and we were not in the midst of loads of people. One issue is parking - we had no trouble but I can see during busy times that there may be. But there seems to be enough, just need to be creative. The house was clean and has everything - no AC but with the sea air, probably no need,. It does take time to get used to the European way of heating water for showers...

"We loved our time in Azoia. The house was very cozy and had lots of space. One warning the stairs are a little steep and the full bathroom is upstairs. Could be difficult for some people. 1/2 bath downstairs so that was good for the nighttime. Love the town- some of the best restaurants we had our whole 10 days in Portugal… The coffee house across the street was very wonderful to have for morning coffee and pastries. Would definitely recommend. Our family had a wonderful time."

"Absolutely the most beautiful view of the ocean and especially the sunset at the end of the day. The bedrooms were spacious and very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and up to date. The game room provided entertainment for everyone with a pool table, table tennis, foosball, checkers, chess, and many game boards. We are a family of 6 adults and a toddler and everyone had a wonderful week in Ericeira. "
