"This place is a dump. Do not stay here, and don’t trust the reviews that say otherwise! This place might have been great in the 90s, but that’s the last time anything was maintained and/or cleaned thoroughly. Our first room was dark and filthy, and located on the maintenance side of the property. So we went to the front desk to ask to get moved since most rooms were sitting empty. The second room was just as bad. Shower doors were falling off and the shower head was broken. The wooden closet...

"Small apartment conveniently located right next to the National Palace of Sintra, with many shops and restaurants very close by including the famous Casa Piriquita bakery and the delicious Romaria de Baco restaurant. Modest furnishings and kitchen were just enough to suit us. Unfortunately the advertised washing machine was broken so we couldn't do laundry as we'd planned, and this wasn't communicated to us in advance. "We stayed for 3 nights, the property itself is cozy, with a good use of space, however, access to the bedding area may be limited to able-bodied folks. "We enjoyed the property, but be prepared for lots of stairs. The property is well maintained but it is a tall and narrow building. Great views of the ocean. I think we had at least three days of green flashes! One very big drawback is that for some reason there are notices in every bathroom to NOT flush toilet paper. For someone not used to that, well... The Host should state that in the description, and honestly I don't know why this is an issue there I don't believe it is on a septic...
