"This place was great! The room was a really good size, and the balcony was nice too with the hot tub. I stayed in Casita Mar. Lots of space for all your things and the bathroom was great as well! I enjoyed the area - close to the beach and restaurants/shopping. It is quite hilly and a lot of stairs if you take the stairs to the beach so be prepared for that! But the area was nice and quiet. "Came here with a group of 9 friends. The suites and the view from the suites were absolutely incredible - much better than the pictures seem. The resort is very beautiful and they have an on-site restaurant with a great menu. Staff were all very friendly and responsive to any requests. The one thing guests should be prepared for is to climb a lot of stairs (they have an elevator, but in most instances, you have to climb steps to access it and it didn’t always work). Probably wouldn’t recommend...

"We loved the Marcela Resort. It was a 2-bedroom / 2-bath unit, and very large - at least by US standards. From the wrap-around deck, it had an amazing view of the pool, down the mountain, and out to the ocean. It had a full kitchen, separate jacuzzi, and in-unit laundry. "The property, located in Old Town area, gives the feeling of Puerto Vallarta of yesteryear. The accomodation was quite large and could have easily housed 3 persons. "We really enjoyed our stay. The rooms were large and well appointed. The beds were very comfortable. It was very hot during our stay but the airconditioned rooms were very comfortable. The staff was friendly and they were not short staffed like many other places. The pool bar makes the best Pina Colada's in PV in my opinion."
