"This is a superb hotel in a lovely neighborhood. We were half board and the food was excellent. Breakfast is also excellent but what made the restaurant so good is the staff and the manager Jose. The pool area is beautifully kept and there are plenty of sun loungers. The team at reception are lovely people and the staff who cleaned our room were extremely professional. "Out 5th stay at the Vallemar and standards remain consistently high. An excellent frontline hotel with a wonderful roof terrace and pool. The hotel restaurant overlooks the Lago Martínez and provides a large range of buffet style dishes with produce sourced from its own organic farm. The restaurant staff are professional and attentive. Another very enjoyable visit!"

"The building is fantastic with an amazing view from the roof terrace. Well located within the historic centre of La Orotava. Unfortunately there was no receptionist until 17.00, which was very stressful until I found a phone on which someone answered. Breakfast was delicious, staff were polite and helpful."

"Clean and most importantly quiet, far away from the drunken louts of Los Cristianos, we even slept well over New Year. Decent breakfast and lots of restaurants within a 10 minute walk. Staff excellent, pricey over New Year but fair. Decent pool, lots of parking nearby. Hilly area but within the resort suitable for anyone. "

"This hotel is a little gem, steeped in history and very central. The internal lounge area with it's palms and exotic plants is wonderful. I would recommend this hotel so long as you are not looking for luxury. There are lovely views from many rooms and the pool is good. Shame they don't offer tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms. Fixtures and fittings are sadly just looking a bit tired."

"I booked a room at this hostel. I arrived 9pm at night. The hostel manager said they were fully booked so I had to look for alternative accommodation which was expensive. I requested a refund . Expedia had no reply from owner/manager after a few attempts at contacting the Guest house and so I was told I could not get my refund. If this sort of thing can happen then I will not use Expedia again. This is very unfair and unacceptable "

Such a fantastic stay in a beautiful villa

"Our stay at Serenity villa was just the best! The villa is sublime: beautiful, large rooms, great social spaces and the pool was nice and warm - the kids loved it. Beatriz was brilliant: very quick to respond; always helpful and incredibly friendly - she set a new standard for helpful hosts! Her recommendation for a chef who could come to the villa - Eduardo (with his partner) - was perfect. Good value, delicious food and both so friendly. I would recommend getting their number from Beatriz!! It is on the quiet side of the Island which is also a few degrees cooler than the south. But you escape the tourists and get authentic local charm and there are some great beaches, natural pools and restaurants. Thank you so much for the memories!"

Lovely relaxing stay in beautiful location

"We stayed here for 7-8 days in July and had a wonderful stay. The location really is amazing and having the private pool to refresh in when too hot is amazing. Peter and Martina are lovely and very respectful so we never felt like they were intruding on our stay. Would definitely come back again."

Stunning villa in breathtaking location

"I adored this property! An older house with endless charm in a lovely and quiet location. The view is absolutely breathtaking, you can even see Teide! Checking in and checking out was super easy and painless. Overall the house was very clean but the master bathroom could have been cleaner. There were a lot of hairs left behind. There is no AC but, with the breeze from the ocean we didn't need it. There is one fan for the master bedroom, it would be nice if there were also fans in the other bedrooms. The owners were very accommodating and left very clear instructions. They even left us a bottle of wine! We really appreciated it and I would absolutely love to come back. There are so many areas in and outside the house to sit and relax. Everything you could possibly need in the kitchen is provided. I would highly recommend this villa for family and friends."

Beautiful El Sauzal

"Had a wonderful time staying at Villa Sabina; plenty of room for two families; Archery was a big hit with the kids; Ingrid and Charo were wonderful hosts and stayed in communication during the week; the property was central to our excursion events and was nearby lovely restaurants, petrol stations and grocery stores. I highly recommend Villa Sabina in El Sauzal!"
