"This is one of the best places I have visited! Staff is so courteous, views are stunning, facilities are thought thru in so many details to make the stay so comfortable for each guest. The hot springs are so cool and the vegetation around is so lush and beautiful. Just an amazing stay, I wish I came here for my honeymoon!"

Lost Iguana Resort and Spa

3.5 star property
9.4 out of 10, Exceptional, (1005)
"Beautiful resort. Wish we had stayed longer. Staff everywhere were extremely friendly. We had a a 2nd floor deluxe room which faced the volcano but was partially obscured by a tree. No big deal. Still an amazing view. Food at the restaurant was very good but there wasn't much Costa Rican variety. Pool and the bar were great. My only issue was that they wouldnt exchange any US currency to Costa Rican. Also keep in mind that this resort is about a 20 minute drive from La Fortuna."

Nayara Gardens

4.5 star property
9.8 out of 10, Exceptional, (628)
"The property is immaculate and clean! Each accommodation is well designed to give you privacy and a feel of luxury. The thing that really stands out is the service. - staff is so polite and welcoming, just makes your day start right. The welcome drink, the scrumptious breakfast, the special attention at dinners - get you in the right mood for rte vacation. Our only sour experience was that our unit’s water pipe had burst and we did not get water in the unit. That was a bummer as we wanted to...

3.0 star property
9.0 out of 10, Wonderful, (32)
"If you're interested in sustainability, the environment and being in the wilderness, this is an amazing place to be. The farm tour was incredible. The area it's in is absolute heaven, surrounded by rainforest and rivers and on the edge of a lake under a volcano. The bird life is astounding and the activities and tours available are great. The room I was in was very small, but perfect for 1 person. 2 would people would have been cosy. But it has a gorgeous little terrace out the front and back...
