"Hidden down a dirt road awaits a rural escape. This was a great place to stay, comfortable, private and surrounded by nature. The location is only a 15 minute drive to La Fortuna and a 5 minute walk to the grocery store. Our Host responses were prompt and we highly recommend."

"Read the listing carefully to decide if this place is right for you. This is not a luxury stay, but it does give a unique and rustic experience. We enjoyed getting a little away from the tourist hotspots and seeing a more authentic side of Costa Rica. The animals made quite a bit of noise during the night, so be aware of that if you are a light sleeper. We stayed 2 nights with our 5 kids, and they had a lot of fun. "Ian was an excellent host! He provided a friendly welcome and recommendations throughout our stay. The property itself is incredible - gardens, lake & animals all within the premises. The area itself is convenient - close to Arenal town and about 45-60 minutes from La Fortuna. Would recommend this stay to anyone looking for a tranquil, relaxing stay in Costa Rica. "

"This upper level of a two-story condo has such a beautiful tree house feel. We loved all the windows and jungle sounds. It was clean and well-equipped and we didn't hear any noises from the neighbors around us. Beds were very comfy. A lovely 15-minute drive back into Monteverde. It felt secluded without feeling isolated and is near many options for tours of all kinds. Highly recommend!"

"We absolutely loved our stay at this home. The location was perfect- it is far, yet close enough, to the hustle and bustle of La Fortuna. The neighborhood was quiet and homey. Plenty of restaurants and markets within walking distance, so many days we didn’t even leave! We absolutely loved the pool. It was so refreshing and we spent HOURS in it a day. We loved just walking around the neighborhood petting dogs, cats, feeding horses, catching fireflies and talking to locals. We were so sad to leave...
