"Excellent secluded spot outside and overlooking Cheddar, out in wide open fields within a minute and up to the gorge in about 15. Rustic, cosy little house with all the essentials and a stocked wood burner. Friendly host and dogs! Also had a small milk in the fridged stocked when we arrived which was a nice touch. 2 single beds might not be up all couples' streets, but well worth it otherwise. "

"We arranged a few nights to spend some time away with our 2 sons and their girlfriends. We had the small cottage and they shared the larger one. It was ideal, we could spend time together but not on top of each other. The cottages were very well equipped, especially as we took turns cooking for each other. The pool was great, it would have been better if we could have used it into the evening but we were asked not to use it after 7pm. Considering the youngsters are all in their twenties, they...

"Very clean, furnished beautifully. Great location for walks, for staying back and reading a book and for a short walk to a pub with lovely food and the biggest menu ever seen! Lots to do within short travel. We enjoyed an afternoon on the canal boating. Has a lovely pub/restaurant and there was a pop up food van. Ventured to Glastonbury, always an experience. Would love to go back again. "

"Rose Cottage was beautiful, clean and comfortable and was just what we needed for a short break. Sue the host was lovely and left a pint of milk in the fridge and popped round to put the heating on for us. The cottage had everything we needed and was ideally located for visiting the surrounding area. We had a wonderful break and would definitely return. There was a lovely pub called The Duck at Burtle which was very nice and about 15 mins drive."

"We were very happy with the property. It was very clean, well equipped and nicely decorated. It was in the middle of the village so very convenient for shops and pubs etc. Also for visiting the area. The owner of the property was also very helpful. A good stay despite the weather!"
