"Yeah, I would say nice try but that is not the case. The Avalon puts its name on classic mid sixties Palm Springs building, charges a high price and calls it a day. The bathroom is like something from a Motel 6: Old tub/shower, mean towels. My room rate was $299. plus all the other fees. I could not find the switch to turn off the patio/balcony light and the front desk explained they could send someone up to unscrew the lightbulb. "Service was amazing. The only thing I was unhappy with was that they referred me to Beautiful Spa when I asked where I could get a pedicure. Worst pedicure Ever. Go to Loveky nails. It’s in the plaza right across the street. Hotel was quite nice. "
