"We booked a room as attended the Christmas Party night , what a brilliant well organised event and such fun . Hotel room lovely comfortable four poster bed with a courtyard view . Food fantastic and breakfast the next morning plenty and varied . Staff all extremely helpful- thank you . "

"We had a great time and a well situated hotel. It was a shame that the weekend we chose we had a storm and the Christmas market was cancelled. But that can’t be helped. Room was very cold but we told reception and they gave us a heater which was a great help. Would definitely book this hotel again"

"The room was cosy and warm lots of little extras and nice touches. Just across a paved area from the restaurant and bar, but no noise at night. Food in the restaurant was good, have been here for a meal before and always enjoyed it. I was there for a wedding and the lady in charge was so helpful and couldn’t have done more "

"Stayed in the original end of the hotel. Very comfortable, friendly and helpful staff. Clean and tidy. Great location, just a few minutes from the centre. Breakfast was lovely, very filling and a nice choice. Looking forward to staying again. "

"We were really disappointed on arrival as the hotel was covered in scaffolding and the entrance looked much more like a 1970s multi-storey carpark than a 4* hotel. The stairs (the lift was out of order), reception area and room were very dated. The soundproofing in the bathroom was non-existent (my wife could hear everything next door). Having said that the beds were comfortable, the staff were friendly and the breakfast was ok."
