We were four in a car so we got free resort parking at stowe, therefore it was far more convenient for us to drive than to take the bus. And in fact most people staying at Talta drove even without the benefit of free carpool parking. The bus stop is right by Talta, but it doesn't come often enough. "This is a beautiful, stylish hotel. Rooms are gorgeous as is the lobby. We loved everything about our experience other than that there was absolutely no snow removal or plowing whatsoever. This is a location in Vermont that caters to skiers. We had to carry our bags from the parking lot to our room on the 2nd floor on unshoveled paths. It was slippery and dangerous. "

"Northern lights is right on the strip on the way to Stowe. The free bus runs right by it. You get a free hot breakfast (eggs, sausage, toast, yogurt, granola, fruit, etc). You place an order with whatever you like. Is it a super fancy modern place? No, but it does the job with friendly staff, clean rooms, and a great location.
