"Overall a very good stay. As previous commentators have noted, the breakfast is noteworthy. With the owners and family living and active on site, this is a bed and breakfast and not a hotel. "It’s worth the splurge for a room with a view. The view was amazing. The pool and sauna area are also great with a great view. Staff was friendly and helpful. I was worried it would be too far from the main road but the location was perfect and easy and right next to the ski rental shop and lift. Breakfast was good and they have a shuttle from the train station. 10/10 would definitely stay here again. Everything was perfect. "

"We came to Zermatt last year and wanted to stay at Hotel Alex but others in the group did not and we ended up staying elsewhree at a nice place with no restaurant or gym but near the Matterhorn Express lift. This year after a group trip fell through we decided to give the Hotel Alex a try. It a much better experience in Zermatt.
