"My wife and I decided on a weekend getaway on short notice. We enjoy touring old mansions and so we were delighted when we came across the Alexander Mansion while doing a google search of nearby bed and breakfasts (We live in Minneapolis). The check-in with Richard was fun and easy. Richard provided several dinner recommendations and made our reservation once we decided where we wanted to go. Our accommodations were clean, comfortable, and well designed. The mansion was a step back in time....

"This is a fun spot to stay, and we really enjoyed our overnight—until we woke up to find that both of our cars had been vandalized and one was stolen from in the parking ramp. While this was obviously unfortunate, the staff was kind and assured us that the valet company would reach out and "take care of everything." However, when we received an email from the valet company, it stated that we would need to file claims through our own insurance instead. Not quite as helpful as it was made to...

"Beautiful old-style inn with pretty interior. Full service restaurant, difficult to find at this time. Friendly staff were very helpful. Clean and organized to keep us safe. It’ll be our go-to for visiting family in MN"

"This is my second stay in 4 months time. The location is very convenient (just off the interstate.) and the convenience store a half block away is very helpful. Generally clean, though the hallways could have used some attention. The design and the decor of the facility is very stylish (modern rustic?) The elevator was of concern. The room was clean and well appointed, though the pillows were flat and uncomfortable. The replacement offered was not any better. The staff was friendly and...
