"Beautiful location and wonderful rooms! The staff was incredibly accommodating when our rental car had a flat tire. They helped us greatly by assisting us with pumping the tire and gave us directions to a local auto shop. Thank you!!"

"I wish I stayed there longer. The southern peninsula is awesome..geothermal stream and natural pools..hiking, northern lights, grocery store. A car is best so you can drive to Secret Lagoon, Selfoss..maybe to Reykjavic cause a cab is like $175. From KEF to Hveragerdi, same back to Reykjavic. "

"A lovely hotel in wild, tranquil surroundings. Food was excellent, albeit a limited choice. For a holiday hotel, breakfast finishing at 10.00. was annoying, especially on weekends. Bed and room were small but comfortable and had most everything you needed, except tissues. On the downside, the lighting throughout the hotel is dreadful, especially the restaurant, but there is absolutely nowhere where you can sit and read, even in the bedrooms.. "What a wonderful experience my 3 day stay was. All staff were friendly and welcoming and my room was beautiful. Every comfort had been provided for. It's spotlessly clean throughout and warm. The restaurant had an evening menu which was outstanding. The chefs cooked wonderful food that was brautifully presented brought to the table by friendly waitresses/waiters who knew what the ingredients were. There are some walks nearby too. You won't be disappointed."

"We loved the property. The views were breathtaking and despite the extreme weather, we were always very warm & cozy. The hot tub too was outstanding. The one thing I would have fixed would be the issue with the locks not actually locking. I understand it is a rural area with little to no crime, but as a foreigner from a place that has plenty of crime, it was a bit worrisome leaving for the day’s excursions with the knowledge that the door could not properly lock. Even still, nothing happened...

"The setting in the mountains was beautiful. While the room was adorable, quite unique, the beam in the ceiling of the room was quite low. I hit my head on it a few times!"
