"This property is not what it is advertised as — it is a rooming house in a middle-class neighborhood. It is not a charming English inn. Outside are is run-down. Given the lack of a true reception/office and staff on the property, it is questionable as to whether they truly are running a legitimate business. Felt very unsafe and left."

"We stayed at the 'cottage' part of the hotel (converted garage at the back of the main building) which was perfectly fine once we found it - we checked in after the reception closed and the directions were not 100% clear. We phoned the night guard who was very helpful. The room was comfortable and clean enough, apart from some random cardboard left in the bin. The shower was not particularly intuitive but perfectly fine once we got it to work. There was a complicated- looking and clearly broken...

"The staff were brilliant. Friendly, helpful and very welcoming. The hotel would benefit from an overall refurbishment, carpets and paintwork look quite worn. When we arrived finding the entrance to the car park proved quite challenging, maybe some directions to it on the website would help. The breakfast coffee was terrible however the food overall was better than expected, generally well cooked and tasty with some nice touches such as pea shoots and sliced chilli on the SE asian curry.
