"Quaint boutique hotel within walking distance to center city…. Right near gates, bell tower and waterfront. A very short walk to Antonio Borges botanical gardens (you must eat lunch at their restaurant- THE BEST). A little longer walk to Arruda Pineapple Plantation which was our favorite plantation. To south, it takes 10 minutes to walk to waterfront/downtime. To north, walk less 10 minutes for gas station and a large shopping complex in which you may find food court, grocery store, etc. During peak season, probably convenient to walk around instead driving and trying to find a parking spot. "This historical property is located in the Terra Nostra Garden Park. The garden is huge and delightful to explore. Even though the large thermal pool was closed due to renovation, we were able to enjoy the smaller thermal jacuzzis. We also enjoyed the dining room for breakfast and dinner. "
