"Welcoming and very comfortable. Had booked into Westhill but were transferred to Airport. Very quiet which was unexpected being so close to the airport. Usual good breakfast. Noticed tables were not wiped down which was always done in other Hamptons we've stayed in, also no daily newspapers. Very little around but an excellent carvery/eatery 5 minutes walk away. Rooms only serviced every 3 days but this was not a problem for us. Our problem was parking as offshire workers leave their cars when...

"Such a fantastic place and hosts. Great home was uniquely modern with large rooms and excellent amenities. Beautiful views from our room. The bed was so comfortable and the breakfast had everything. Don’t forget to order an evening platters. The town was cute and the Indian restaurant was wonderful. "

"The lodge is set in a very scenic setting next to Lock Aboyne and woodlands which you can walk around. The property itself owned and run by a lovely couple who pretty much seem to do everything themselves. "I just loved this place. It’s right on the harbor so the views are amazing. The rooms are on the smaller side but they are extremely clean (we saw one of the housekeepers on her hands and knees scrubbing the shower) and comfortable. Amenities are a little dated but it didn’t affect our stay. Definitely make reservations for the restaurant. I had cullen skink there for the first time and it was so good. I dream about it! "
