"Lovely hotel in a stunning location with the river running past our bedroom window. The room was spacious and well equipped with a lovely bathroom. A couple of hiccups with the evening meal (mainly around service) but this was well dealt with when mentioned at check out. "

"We had a wonderful night at Meldrum House celebrating friends Special birthday. The beautiful Chain lodge provided us with a comfortable well laid out base to get together before and after lovely evening with tasty food and range of drinks available within The Titan dome. "

"Centrally located. Beautiful hotel with old-world charm. Lovely staff. Cute pub, finally found non-fried fish! Dog friendly. Even had boots to borrow to keep our shoes clean! Fabulous walking area, sweet little town. Close to many sights."

"lovely location, room was small but well decorated and clean, very comfy bed and pillows and good shower. Room was very warm even with windows open and unfortunately I didn’t sleep well because of this. We were really disappointed that the TV in our room wasn’t working - spoke to a staff member who said they would come and have a look but they didn’t show up. Called reception at least 4 times but no answer. The TV wouldn’t turn back off either so was left with the light of that through the night. Dinner was delicious although starters and deserts slightly pricey, nice cocktails and breakfast was very tasty too, plenty of options. Service was great in the restaurants, plenty of staff and very attentive."

"the food was great evening meal/breakfast the staff were all great. the only downside was we never got to sleep till the entertainment was done after one oclock but we were told when we booked in that there was a 21st party on in the hall and entertainment in the bar but it wont stop us booking this hotel again"

"On accommodation alone, 5 stars. Staff were lovely and accommodating. Restaurant was good but just that. Service excellent but food unexceptional. Okay but I've had better. A lot of it felt bought in rather than developed and cooked on site."
