"Lovely country hotel with old features in this old Scottish building. Decor a little tired and door lock didn’t work on my room door the first night which was fixed promptly the next morning. "

"I just loved this place. It’s right on the harbor so the views are amazing. The rooms are on the smaller side but they are extremely clean (we saw one of the housekeepers on her hands and knees scrubbing the shower) and comfortable. Amenities are a little dated but it didn’t affect our stay. Definitely make reservations for the restaurant. I had cullen skink there for the first time and it was so good. I dream about it! "

"Lovely one night stay in stables room. Room well equipped, spacious and comfortable. Enjoyed a lovely meal in Pineapple restaurant from Aberdeenshire restaurant week menu. Beautiful well maintained grounds"

"Alway love to stay at this hotel. Fabulous staff, Richard & Emma are brilliant. Unfortunately I won’t be back and loved staying here. Thought £25 for breakfast was ridiculous considering I only had a coffee and scrambled eggs on both days and I asked for a child’s portion as don’t eat much in the morning. I normally book B&B, but must have missed it on Hotels.com this time. Maybe a paid menu for breakfast would tempt me back, but not the way it stands unfortunately."

"Great stay. Spacious bedroom that was well equipped. Breakfast was excellent - much better quality than premier inn (apart from the coffee). Good location of hotel with a quirky locals bar open til late. Would definitely stay again "

" Everything about our stay was perfect, the food was delicious, the room was beautiful and our hosts looked after us from the moment we arrived. The whisky snug was a great way to finish our evening after a fantastic meal. The refurbishment of the inn has been done to such a high standard - it was really stunning. Would thoroughly recommend."
