"Lovely country hotel with old features in this old Scottish building. Decor a little tired and door lock didn’t work on my room door the first night which was fixed promptly the next morning. "

Inexperienced/poorly trained staff (at check in and checkout, the staff members announced their newness and lack of familiarity with the hotel systems. Desk attendants sitting and having personal conversations as we came and want throughout our stay, not acknowledging us, saying hello, or asking if we were enjoying our stay). "Alway love to stay at this hotel. Fabulous staff, Richard & Emma are brilliant. Unfortunately I won’t be back and loved staying here. Thought £25 for breakfast was ridiculous considering I only had a coffee and scrambled eggs on both days and I asked for a child’s portion as don’t eat much in the morning. I normally book B&B, but must have missed it on Hotels.com this time. Maybe a paid menu for breakfast would tempt me back, but not the way it stands unfortunately."

"The waterside is great, it is very dated but the price reflects that. There’s nothing else around this part of Scotland that gives you this level of value for money. I wouldn’t go there expecting the world but it’s clean, has a nice restreraunt, a so with sauna, jacuzzi, pool and steam room and the staff are very attentive. I love the place and will be going back next weekend."
