"I have stayed at Amaru Colonial a few times in the past. I love this beautiful hotel. It has lovely gardens and the rooms have lots of character. There are many choices for breakfast. The staff are amazing and willing to help out how ever they can. It is close to some really great restaurants. The only challenge is walking down the hill. As a Canadian, we are definitely not used to the narrow roads and watching to make sure your purse strap doesn't get caught on a car mirror as the cars...

"The pictures look really good on the website and this property looks NOTHING like them!!! The room on the garden level was very stuffy and nasty smelling and when I asked for a fan, they could not provide me one, so I had to get air freshener! There is only one little window in the bathroom area and does not let in much light. The garden is unkept and the area can be noisy. The breakfast is delivered to the room which was nice, but it's not a pleasant atmosphere to eat there on the desk with...

"This property is beautiful. It’s just a few blocks from the plaza. Best of all, the staff were incredible. My son broke his glasses while on the trip and the receptionist walked with us to the optometrist. We couldn’t find someone to fix them but she went from one store to the next until we found someone. "Fabulous stay at Belmond Monasterio! Check in was easy and the staff were personable and professional. We felt welcomed and valued as a client. Our room was upgraded to a suite with a semi-private courtyard. Fabulous room. Great amenities in room. Music in the bar in the evening with a wood fire burning. Dinner in hotel was good. Breakfast had good variety and quality. Staff is wonderful. They go out of their way to be helpful. Tea station available all day. Oxygen in room helped with altitude....
