Lots of stais to haul your suitcase up to the villa. It was off season so reception staff not readily available to answer questions. "

"A large modern hotel on the East side of the village with a lovely harbor view, nice outdoor pool ( chilly in early April) and indoor pool and gym. The breakfast is great. Ask for a sea view room. There are several inexpensive decent restaurants just down the street from the Hotel the Vila Velha being the best (more expensive). Walk out on the undeveloped rocky point to big cliffs overlooking the sea and have a picnic. "
