"The Orla is one of THE best places you can stay if you want to be near the beach. It is literally across from the famous Copacabana - you can walk there in a minute! Don't think you'll get a great view from your hotel window, however; there are a limited number of rooms overlooking the ocean, but the room we stayed in was still very nice, as was the hotel staff. "You can walk about two minutes and be at a little supermarket. But warning there are homeless people sleeping on the sidewalk. I did feel safe at night going for a beer and something to eat on the beach almost in front of the hotel. The staff is amazing"
