"Staff very welcoming and good location to city centre "

"This hotel is not the best I’ve ever stayed in, it’s looking a bit tired in the rooms, corridors and public areas. But, it’s good value and clean and near the station. However what makes this hotel is the staff - they are fabulous, nothing is too much trouble for them, chatty and friendly and very helpful. An example : I asked for a late check-out for a work meeting at midday, which unfortunately they couldn’t do because of other bookings but offered me a space in the bar area for a work meeting where they said they’d cordon off a space and keep it quiet for me. In the end the meeting got cancelled, but super helpful. Fully recommended as long as you don’t expect 4/5* luxury. "

"First time staying at this hotel. Arrived before 3pm but that wasn’t an issue and we checked in with no issue at all. The room was lovely and spotlessly clean. The staff we encountered from the reception staff who were very knowledgable, the bar staff who filled a huge ice bucket for our room and the staff at breakfast who were very friendly. Nothing was any trouble!! The complimentary breakfast was outstanding. The choice was amazing. We will certainly be back. Highly recommended "
