We were staying in the Family Room, but were not advised when booking that on our second night immediately below that room would be a rock band, performing until 10:30pm. "I booked this apartment for my engineer, he attended site and was told this is in a bad area of town. He went back to the apartment around 9pm and there were multiple parties in the area and had strangers approach him and was made very uncomfortable. He drove back to London. Would not recommend this property. "

"The apartment was a bit tired looking but otherwise fine for one night. Much cheaper than other apartments around. Location couldn't be better - right next to Digital nightclub. As for the deposit, previous reviews did irk me but I did get it refunded by 10 working days. Make sure to send them your bank details on arrival. Also their 26+ age policy really ought to be made clear on the listing. "

"I booked in January for a summer weekend, arrived in July to find hotel closed and had to find another hotel. I contacted the hotel through expedia and through their website twice in the week running up to my stay. The Guest House did not respond I arrived to find Hall Bank Guest House locked up and closed. I had to find emergency accomodation for the night. I suggest that potential holidaymakers think very carefully before risking booking Hall Bank Guest House"

"Ideal for a night out in Newcastle, approx £4 for a taxi into town rooms were fine only downside was there wasn’t a way to turn the heating off so had to sleep with the windows open which meant it was quite noisy but the man on reception was lovely and room had everything you need for a nights stay"

"Great apartment in great house. Everything was comfortable and clean. It had a little kitchenette which we didn't use but it would have been useful for a longer stay. I have marked you down 1 star on Communications as I could find the information regarding check out time on the last day and it was hard to find it online, it said 11am in one place and 12 noon another. I had to go to the Holiday Inn checkout next door and ask them in person. "
