"The place was adequate for our stay and what we had to do was good location. However, the most important part the beds were horrible, unfortunately. We didn’t even stay the last night."

"House was clean, well lit, and had spacious rooms including a very large and well-equipped kitchen. The private parking spot accessible from the alley behind the house is very convenient but a bit tricky to pull into. The one issue in the kitchen was that there was no coffee pot, so had to be creative to make coffee. Location was close to groceries and restaurants and very convenient for getting anywhere in DC. There is a very nice remodeled bathroom off one of the bedrooms. The only other issue...

"Everything was wonderful with two small exceptions. There were no oven mitts or salt, pepper, spices etc. to help facilitate our personal cooking. With large family we don’t have the option to go out to eat regularly. There is an Aldi’s less than a mile away, which is great. Also there was not much for rags and kitchen towels etc, for cleaning. "

"Wonderful stay for a mixed family of 7 for Spring Break in DC!! The house was spacious, slept our group comfortably, and had every amenity we needed. The mattresses were extremely comfortable and there were multiple extra sets of linens for bathing. The house, built in 1906, has been beautifully updated. Each bathroom fully met our needs. Access to public transportation was very simple, just a half block to the metro line that took us all the way into the mall and museums. We were able to...

"The home was comfortable. Master suite in basement had no privacy door and nowhere to store luggage or toiletries other than on the floor. Kitchen did not have much storage space available but was very well stocked for cooking/baking, which we always do to save money when traveling. Provided coffee and shampoo/body wash was a nice touch. Location was great for visiting the DC area. Easy to get around. Would definitely stay again in the future. "

"This spot was great for a small group of students and parents exploring Washington DC. The owners were very responsive and accommodating. The location was close to the Metro, which made it very convenient. Grateful that we were able to stay here."

"Being able to walk to the Silver Spring Metro station was a big plus, which allowed us to leave our car each day. There are plenty of restaurant options just up the hill from the house. Although it's listed as a basement, there were plenty of windows to bring in natural light.We would choose this place again. "

"Me and my family (9 total) came to visit our family up in DC! The stay was great! Everything you needed was already in the home. There is plenty of space for everyone! The home was clean as well. The host is easy to get in contact with as well. It was also easy to get uber to come to the house to get us when we wanted to go out too! It’s about a 15 minute drive from downtown DC. We will be staying here again. "

"We loved this place! Stayed with our adult daughters for several days. Owner communication was helpful & informative. 5 minute walk to Library of Congress. Very close to a variety restaurants & shops. Very safe, beautiful neighborhood with ample street parking. Stocked with coffee, snacks, cereal, milk & eggs! Hotel room size but all the appliances of a studio apartment. Would definitely recommend and hope to come back! "

The house had everything we needed, loved the separation of the home. Made it easy for everyone. If you wanted to stay up and chat or just wanted to sleep, everyone was happy.
