The Omni Shoreham in DC is iconic. This hotel has seen countless politicos come and go. The size of the hotel is stunning and the interior is beautiful and well throughout, the exterior is lacking. The room was sizable and clean and the beds were comfortable. However, there was just something lacking. The restaurant wasn’t open, which is tragic because it’s beautiful. My car had to parked by a valet, which is fine but then it was left unlocked for hours, and I only know because I happened to walk past and try to handle to get my phone charger. I think this is a great place for an event and a nice place to stay with kids but for all is grandeur, don’t expect too their service or amenities.

I treated myself to an overnight stay on my birthday. First, the good…The staff was very very friendly. The gym was awesome, and the grounds are beautiful. When I checked in I was in a room that was incredibly stuffy but they wasted no time moving me to a different room, which was much better. That said, the rooms are a bit outdated and I think the carpet could use replacing.

They charged my credit card for all the rooms I reserved even when customers presented and asked them to use another credit card or form of payment. They lost medical supplies sent to the hotel and had it locked in an office. The customer had to delay treatment because they had a hard time finding where an employee placed it. I’m both surprised and disappointed with the services!

I felt I couldn’t comfortably sit on the lobby sofas they looked worn and dirty. There were finger prints on all the front doors even early in the morning before heavy traffic. The bellman not once opened the door for us even when our hands were full. Anyone could get on the elevators or stairs that didn’t feel safe.
