"The VRBO picture shows the front of the house, but unit #5 can only be entered from the back. It is a basement suite, the design of which would be perfect for someone attending the nearby university, but not for two couples. (The person sleeping in the queen-sized bed in the small bedroom must open their door and step into the living area, which now contains a king-sized bed in order to transit to the bathroom.) The bedroom contains no furniture except for the bed and one very small night...

"Great location! Only problem to report is the stairs to get to the apartment. They have been noted but I want to add they are narrow and steep. There is no gate, door nor barrier so it is easy to fall down the stairs. They are located where you have to walk by them to get from the living area to the bedrooms and bathroom. Other than that, pretty good place."

"Attractive historic house. Very clean. No TV but good Wi-Fi. Next to through way so road noise is present. Very convenient to walk to downtown and sights. "

"Perfect place to stay in Penn Yan. The wine bar below is a gem! Couple that owns it is lovely and food, drinks and service was great! Definitely make a reservation for brunch! The only little down side of this place was the steep steps to carry up luggage. We underestimated the time to take our luggage down and around back to the car. It was lovely place to stay. Highly reccomend!"
