"The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful, however, it was often difficult to find anyone, even during posted office hours. The beds were very uncomfortable; the bathroom was VERY small; hot water in the shower was unreliable; the bathroom smelled (we think from the sink); there was a small step down just inside the entrance and another into the bathroom that were potential tripping hazards; we were told coffee was available in the kitchen from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., but the door was locked...

"Be sure to calibrate your expectations: this is not a luxury apartment. It was, however, an excellent value. While the building wasn't new, the room was well-kept. We were able to find parking each night on the street in front, but had to relocate the car closer one night. The owner is helpful and friendly, and the included breakfast of fruit, eggs, and gallo pinto was solid (especially at this price point). "

"I have traveled in many countries and slept in numerous hostels around the world and this is one of my all time favourites. The owner is absolutely amazing and super helpful. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The location is good and the dorm room was nice and clean. I recommend this place very much!"

"This was a big house with more than enough space for the six adults in our group. We especially loved the pool and hot tub, and we could see hummingbirds from the back porch in the morning. Table tennis was a hit with some people in our group as well, and the food at the restaurant on the property was good. The listing description is generally accurate, and we'd happily stay here again.
