"The staff and service are wonderful. We have seen wildlife around the property including a coati, armadillo and a monkey! The location is up a hill/mountain so we tend to drive rather than walk into town. Breakfast here and all our meals in town at recommended spots have been great! The room is very clean but dated and the bathroom could use an upgrade. Otherwise, I’d give it 5 stars!"

"The breakfast, which was included in the price, was amazing (eggs, toast, butter, jam, juice, and coffee). The facility is new and offers Wi-Fi and parking. The shower had the best water pressure of all the hotels we stayed at during our trip through Costa Rica. Upon arrival, they provide you with a map detailing all the local amenities, including the supermarket and tourist attractions, along with their prices!"

Takes about ten minutes off the main road so not handy if you are heading in and out all the time but so secluded and quiet when you are there. The view alone is worth the effort. "Perfect. Not only did the staff wait for us as we were a late check in, but the room above and beyond what we were expecting. Everything was beautifully cleaned and well maintained, and the water pressure in the shower was especially perfect. In the morning, breakfast turned out to be the most amazing breakfast I’ve ever had! And I’m a foodie lol! The cooks deserved a standing ovation!! The gardens were also very well kept, and we enjoyed watching the butterflies and birds as we ate. Monte verde...

"We booked day-of after a change in plans and were just looking for a cheap and decent place to stay overnight. We were pleasantly surprised. This place is adorable. No frills, but the room and premises were clean, and staff was friendly and helpful. They served a delicious, made-to-order breakfast. No A/C wasn't a problem as the temperature dropped at night. Walkable to town for dinner and drinks. Check in and check out were easy. "

"We loved the property, it was beautiful and spacious. The WiFi was a little touch and go and it was at least 20 minutes to get into la Fortuna. We would definitely recommend, but just be aware you will be doing a lot of back and forth driving to get into town and the nearby activities."

"This was a big house with more than enough space for the six adults in our group. We especially loved the pool and hot tub, and we could see hummingbirds from the back porch in the morning.
