"Despite it being described as a "hostel" it is not a hostel in the UK/US fashion. It is MUCH better. You are staying with a family. Who are great! I got my own private room, with my own private shower, toilet ensuite. I had a double and single bed - as I was on my own I only used the double which was very comfortable. "Lovely hot shower and the only place I stayed that didn't experience a power cut! So the air-conditioning worked and the room was nice and cool. The owner looked after my case and let me wait in reception for a couple of hours for my taxi to the airport. Only downside was rather a lot of mosquitoes and midges in the room, but they were everywhere in Cuba. I got bitten when I don't normally and ran out of spray (so bring plenty)."

"The Havana Dream is a great place to stay in Old Havana. The room was extremely comfortable and spacious with add on extras such as toiletries bathrobes safe fridge etc. The Manager Beatrice and all the staff were so hospitable and responded quickly to anything i needed during my stay. Do take the breakfast there, its served at a big dining table in the lounge and is delicious. Cant thank the staff enough for a wonderful stay. Oh and its only a five minute walk to the Central park square....

"We had a great stay at Casa Meneses and we had a fantastic host. He was able to change money for us on arrival as well as organise a Cuban SIM card for our phone at at good price for our whole trip. We also went out salsa dancing with host and friends on a couple of occasions, and he organised a collectivo for us on departure to Vinales. It was in a good location and overall I would recommend Casa Pablo Meneses as a place to stay in Havana "
