"The property is well maintained inside. Nice bar area adjoining the lobby & there is a lovely rooftop terrace but one must be able to climb stairs. The reception staff all speak adequate English and are very friendly and helpful. The two cooks (Wilfredo & Yoenky) are excellent, very attentive, & will prepare available items however you like. The manager, Alberto, is a very interesting man, with whom we enjoyed spending time. The only downside is odiferous streets in most of Havana, which is out...

"The property was a taxi ride from the main area of Havana but taxis were organised very easily. the rooms and en suite bathrooms were large and the bed very comfortable. shower a bit temperamental but it didn't matter. The house was full of old and interesting artefacts and the main guy spoke really good English and was very helpful. breakfast seemed to be whenever we wanted it and was basically anything we wanted. Very good coffee! Our stay was overall excellent"
