"Perfect place for a family in this somewhat young, single tourist beach town. The beach down here is sandy and more toward the north has a lot of rock, so very happy with the location. Casually set up a surf lesson with the company right outside the hotel. The hotel had a lot of beautiful plants throughout the rooms. It was old school, but in the best possible way. This is my ideal kind of hotel."

"Our stay at Puerto Azul Hotel Y Club Nautico was good overall. They accommodated our very late check-in at 1:30 am, which was appreciated since our flight was late getting into San Jose.
