"This property is great for peace and quiet. The damage in the area from hurricane Helene has shut down a lot of trails, waterfalls, and parks. However, it is still very beautiful and we will continue to travel to the area and hopefully stay at this retreat again. Right now it's smart to bring your own food, there aren't very many places to go out to eat unless you prefer fast food. The main highway also has a beautiful gift shop. "We stayed at this property to be close to family we were visiting. The home was very clean and we appreciated the layout- big kitchen open to the living room. Rocking chairs on the front porch were nice. There was a dog that lived nearby that was on the property/porch whenever we came home. He was very friendly. Heavier blankets would have been nice as the beds only had a sheet and a thin bedspread, no additional linens were in the closets. Overall we would stay here again for the location and...

"This was a very nice home to spend Christmas. Access from the main road is good and it is easy to get to. The house is a nice size and has a nice large dining room to have family meals together. It is a very cozy warm home with a nice large fenced in yard. One of the neighbors told us it was once the mayors home. I would stay here again. "
