"My first rental of a ski in ski out was on too much of a hill for the kids learning to ski, this is a great spot for anyone with new skiers. It hardly gets any better than tossing skis down off the back porch!"

"We (a party of 14, ages ranging from 10 to 86 years old) enjoyed our NYE stay on Black Mountain. Place was super clean and so roomy! Kitchens had everything we needed. Kelley was a great host and answered all our questions before and while we were there! My parents are still talking about how perfect the house was! I will say the driveway is very steep. Most of the vehicles were unable to make the climb up the drive. Luckily the road isn't busy so we parked below and walked up. ...

"Ski Roost has a wonderful view from the deck and is equipped with little touches that make for a wonderful stay. There were some yard games and sharpies to decorate rocks on the deck, the retro arcade game was a huge hit with the kids and adults, and the deck fire pit gave warmth while we took in the view in the morning and evening. "We loved our trip and will be booking again in the future! All the comments about the driveway being rough are accurate but as long as you have 4wheel drive, a truck, or SUV you should be fine. The water is normal well water. We showered in it just fine but we have family that has well water so maybe thats why it didn’t bother us. Over all we loved this little cabin and can’t wait to come back❤️"

"The location is great for skiing and snowboarding. The recommendation for all wheel drive or chains isn’t a joke. Take them seriously. This is past the resort and the road treatment isn’t as efficient for the last mile. We loved being on the golf course because the deer like it too. There was a small hill for sledding right by the property. The hot tub did not work during our stay sadly. We missed out on that fun but enjoyed perfect winter weather.
