"Booked this hotel out of necessity because we wanted to do the bioluminescence tour in Castine (also highly recommend) and the Bucksport Inn just happened to be conveniently located. So glad we did! First, the service was exceptional. They called us the morning of our reservation to inform us that the TV in our room was broken, but to offer a different type of room (2 queens vs a king). "The rental in this quaint town offers the perfect starting point to enjoy Downeast Maine. The house is well equipped for the needs of pet owners and their pets. The bed was comfortable, bathrooms were clean, and kitchen had ample supplies, including nice touches such as kitchen basic herbs/spices. Proximity to groceries, restaurants and delicious seafood takeout was ideal. Walking distance to the habor walking path was really enjoyable. We would choose this location again."

"The property was just as described. The high ceilings were great for those over 6ft. The size of the bathroom was great. The trails off the backyard were great for a walk. The location wasn’t far from restaurants and attractions. "

"We had some issues upon check-in with the propane. They got it all sorted very quickly and were kind about the whole situation. The view is spectacular and area is peaceful. My kids were in awe of the amount of fish they caught right off the dock. The house is very well stocked with all you’d possibly need. We would stay there again! "

"We had a great weekend away from our busy lives in New York, to visit family in Maine! The home was a great space to relax after long days of exploring! Very close to anything and everything you would need! Clean and cozy! The view of the stars from in the hot tub were just breath taking! We would love to come back in the future with my in-laws !! "
